Install Crew Leader

Job Overview: The Landscape Crew Leader is a pivotal role that involves leading a hands-on landscaping crew, actively participating in physical tasks, and contributing to project success. Reporting to the Team Leader and Project Manager, this position offers a unique benefit of a 4-day work week. In addition to a competitive hourly wage starting at $22/hour, the role includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Work includes but not limited to : Landscape plant maintenance, landscape plant installations, walkways, retaining walls, patios, landscape lighting, lawn and sod installations, and other industry related tasks.

  • Responsibilities:

    Supervision and Physical Task Performance:

    Lead and actively participate in landscaping tasks alongside the crew.

    Provide hands-on support in demolition/removal, planting, trimming, mulching, raking, and weeding, and other physical tasks as needed.

    Equipment Operation:

    Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including skid steer, mini excavator, dingo, trimmers, and power tools.

    Lead by example in demonstrating proper equipment usage and safety protocols.

    Truck Operation:

    Drive trucks to transport crew, equipment, and materials to job sites.

    Assist with loading and unloading equipment and materials.

    Job Site Supervision:

    Supervise the crew during physical tasks, ensuring quality and efficiency.

    Collaborate with the Team Leader to make real-time adjustments based on project needs.

    Collaboration with Team Leader and Project Manager:

    Work closely with the Team Leader and Project Manager to achieve project objectives.

    Provide input on task assignments, resource needs, and project timelines.

    Direct Reports:

    Supervise and mentor 1-2 direct reports, fostering teamwork and skill development.

    Participate in training activities to enhance crew members' skills.

    Safety and Compliance:

    Enforce safety protocols and actively promote a culture of safety within the crew.

    Ensure team members are properly trained on safety procedures.
